Ergonomics is the interface between a human, the machines or equipment and the environment, through which the human is interacting for comfortable and safe performance.
Its purpose is to improve the human-machine-environment relationship that can improves both productivity and safer performance.
This relationship can be improved by either by:

- Reshaping the pattern in the relationship, for improving productivity.
